Carroll R. Tracy

Carroll R. Tracy, 81, of Leitersburg, MD, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018 at his home. Born Saturday, March 7, 1936 at Midvale, PA, he was the son of the late Blaine M. and Lottie P. (Shifflett) Tracy. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Doubleday Book Binding Company of Smithsburg after 40 years of service. He was a member of St. Paul’s Free Lutheran Church of Leitersburg, Morris Frock American Legion Post 42 of Hagerstown, Redmen Tribe 84 of Williamsport and Eagles Club Inc. of Waynesboro. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Connie L. (Shoop) Tracy whom he married June 15, 1957, sisters, Alice Weicht, Nancy Hose, Ruth Draper and Janet Sulser, brothers, Harold “Peanut” Tracy, Vernon “Dale” Tracy and Francis Tracy, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Beulah Tracy and brothers, Paul Tracy and Ralph Tracy. Services will be held Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 11:00am at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD, with Pastor Terry W. Culler officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Williamsport, MD, with military honors provided by Morris Frock American Legion Post 42.
