Joseph Lee Buhrman

Joseph Lee Buhrman, 92, of Sabillasville, MD, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Ministries Home of Emmitsburg, MD. Born Wednesday, April 1, 1925 in Foxville, MD, he was the son of the late Grover Allen Buhrman and Annie Margaret (Leather) Buhrman. He attended Foxville School. He was employed by WF Delauter & Son of Emmitsburg and retired from Morgan-Keller Construction of Frederick. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church of Foxville, South Mountain Rod & Gun Club of Smithsburg, Blue Ridge Sportsman’s Association, Cascade American Legion post 239 and Eagles Inc. of Waynesboro. He is survived by son, Joseph “Lee” Buhrman, Jr., daughters, Ruth Draper, Jane Zimmerman and Christine “Chris” Zimmerman, ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother, Howard and sisters, Margaret and Dorothy. Services will be held Monday, April 2, 2018 at 1:00pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD, with Pastor Guy Besbitt officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, Cascade, MD.
