Olive R. Ross

Olive R. Ross, 100, of Wolfsville Rd. Smithsburg, MD, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at her home.

Born Friday, February 22, 1918 near Wolfsville, she was the daughter of the late Paul Kline, Sr. and Etta Mae (Kuhn) Kline.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd A. Ross, April 24, 1987.

She was a graduate of Middletown High School.

She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church of Wolfsville and the Church Sunday School Class.

She was employed by Cavetown Planing Mill Company, Double-Day Book Binding Company, Raymond Gardenhour Orchards, Bromley Orchards, and Allenberger Orchards.

She is survived by children, Linda L. Ross, Larry L. Ross and wife Glenne, and James E. Ross and wife Paula, sisters, Vera N. Morgan and Norma K. Biser, grandchildren, David, Lisa, Christen, Sherrie, Darren, Daryl and Evan and great grandchildren, Zachary, Jessica, Cody, Christopher, Emily, Jaylin, Ridge, KayAnna, Jacob and Layla.

She was preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers.

Services will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 11:00am at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Wolfsville, with Pastor David Howell officiating. Burial will be in St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD. Doors will open at 9am.
