Ronald Phillip Hahn, Sr.

Ronald P. Hahn, Sr. 65, of Friends Creek Rd. Emmitsburg, MD, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Meritus Medical Center of Hagerstown, MD. Born Monday, February 2, 1953 in Gettysburg, PA, he was the son of the late Luther Abraham Hahn, Sr. and Ida Emma (Jacobs) Hahn. He attended Catoctin High School in Thurmont, MD. He was a self-employed contractor for 38 years, owning and operating Ron’s Custom Carpentry. He was a member of the Blue Ridge Sportsman’s Association of Blue Ridge Summit, PA. He enjoyed working and being outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Ron is survived by his wife, Deborah M. (Stancliff) Hahn, daughters, Rhonda Gingell and companion Lewis, Tracey Hahn and Ashley Hahn, son, Ronald Hahn, Jr. and wife Amy, step-son, Mark Brown, Jr. and wife Samantha, brothers, James Hahn and Joe Hahn, sisters, Helen McClain and Mary McGlauglin, grandsons, Josh, Calvin, Mikey, Dustin, Kevin, Cameron, Riley and Clayton, granddaughters, Samantha, Amber and Raylynn, great-grandchildren, Ryker and Landon and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by brothers, Luther, Jr., Clarence, Harry, Lloyd, Robert, Albert, George and Paul, sisters, Ida Mae Sklarevski and Dorothy Bock and his beloved canine companion, Bubba. Services will be held Monday, March 19, 2018 at 10:00am at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD, with Pastor Richard Daughtridge officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Dale Cemetery, Fountain Dale, PA. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 18, 2018 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the funeral home.
