Ronald Kershner Obituary

Ronald Lee Kershner, Born November 8, 1941 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Raymond LeRoy Kershner & Edna Mae Alexander, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at his home on Saturday March 3, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. He was 76 years old. He was a graduate of South Hagerstown High school class of 1959 and enlisted in the US Air Force shortly thereafter, after serving his country 4 years he then attended The University of Maryland and earned his degree graduating in 1967. He was employed by the Government for several years before relocating to San Francisco, California where he met his wife Nancy with whom he would have 3 children, at the time they were both employed by Pacific Bell. They would eventually move back to Hagerstown in 1989 where they continued to raise their children and be closer to family. In 2012 he was diagnosed with Leukemia and was treated only to have it return in 2018 as untreatable. He is survived by his 2 brothers, Larry Kershner and Bill Kershner, his sister, Anita Hunter, his 3 sons, Jason, John and Zack, 2 granddaughters, Jazmine and Madalynn and former wife, Nancy. He was proceeded in death by his Step Father, Richard McElroy, Sister, Betty Black and Brother, Charles Kershner. You will be missed Dad, may you rest in peace. Arrangements were made by J.L.
