Barbara Ann (McCleaf) Earley

Barbara Ann “Barb” (McCleaf) Earley, 60, of Strickler Avenue, Waynesboro, PA, passed peacefully in her home and went to be with her heavenly Lord Thursday June 27, 2019 after an extensive illness. Born April 4, 1959 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Frank B., Jr. and Virginia L. (Kline) McCleaf. She spent her early life in Rouzerville, PA. Mrs. Earley was a graduate of Waynesboro Area High School with the Class of 1977. She and her husband of 40 years, Mr. James E. Earley, were married July 1, 1978 in Rouzerville United Methodist Church, Rouzerville, PA. They moved to their home on Strickler Ave. in 1979 where they have resided for 40 years. Mrs. Earley began working for Kmart in Waynesboro, PA in 1977 where she began as a waitress in the café and ended her 25 year career there as a Human Resource Manager in 2002. She was a member of Rouzerville United Methodist Church and Blue Mountain Church of God and most recently, Emmanuel Chapel, Smithsburg, MD. Barbara enjoyed going on vacations to Ocean City, boating on the bay, shopping, crocheting and spending time with her family, especially with the light of her life, her grandson. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Ericca E. (Earley) Yoder and her husband, Jamey of Waynesboro, PA; one grandson, Brayden Benjamin Yoder; two brothers, Lanny R. McCleaf and his wife, Jackie and Steven L. McCleaf and his fiancé Jeanne both of Waynesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Douglas G. McCleaf. Services will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 11:00am at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD, with Pastor Jonathan D. Laye officiating. Burial will be in Harbaugh Cemetery, Rouzerville, PA.
