Margaret M. Jacobson, age 84 of Hagerstown passed away on Wednesday May 30, 2018 in the care of her loving family. Born June 23, 1933 in Frederick, MD she was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Laura Martin. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Albert H. Jacobson.
Margaret graduated from Frederick High School in 1951 and attended Washington Missionary College. She worked as a CNA and retired from Washington County Hospital in 2002. She was a member of the Hagerstown Seventh Day Adventist church.
Margaret is survived by two daughters, Laura Shay and husband, CAPT. Christopher Shay USN (Ret) and Beth Voulgaris and husband John; three sons, Alexander Jacobson, Matthew Jacobson and Albert “Tommy” Jacobson; nine grandchildren, Brandon Bolyard, Michael Klinger, Aaron Jacobson, Jeffrey Jacobson, Heather Jacobson, Theodore Voulgaris, Nicholas Voulgaris, Alexander Voulgaris and Ariane Voulgaris; and 3 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1pm Sunday June 3 at the Hagerstown, SDA Church on Robinwood Dr. in Hagerstown, MD. Memorial donations may be made in her honor to Doey’s House at hospiceofwc.org.
