Marguerite Mae (Mowery) Flores

Marguerite M. Flores, (Sissy or Maggie), 77, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at York Hospital in York, PA. Born Wednesday, January 29, 1941 in Reed’s Creek, WV, she was the daughter of the late Russell Mowery and Helen Hartman Mowery Lockwood. She was preceded in death by one brother, Bruce Mowery. She is survived by two sisters, Mary Lockwood and Juanita Mowery, brother, Donald Mowery and wife Lee, her loving husband of 29 years, Jose Flores, three children, Danny Moore and wife Lori, Donna Moore, and Robert Fairall, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was a strong-willed woman, mother and wife. She started school in WV and finished up in Washington DC. She was a restaurant manager for many years, took ITT computer Networking Courses eventually opening her own computer sales business for a couple of years, she was a caregiver and a homemaker. She loved her church, Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Smithsburg, MD where she was a member. She enjoyed going out for Sunday afternoon dining and visiting her niece, Tina Cooper and husband Rusty in Cabins, WV every chance she could. She truly loved the outdoors, mountains and the people up there where she grew up. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 1:00pm at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Smithsburg, MD, with Pastor Virgil Cain officiating.
