Marion Gecora (Barr) Williams

Marion Gecora Barr Williams, 91, of Martinsburg, WV, formerly of Smithsburg, MD, passed to her rest Sunday, January 12, 2020, at Hospice of the Panhandle, Kearneysville,WV. She was born September 15, 1928, in Riverdale, MD, the daughter of Martin Irving Barr and Thelma B. Henderson Barr. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, William Herbert Williams, Jr., whom she married May 24, 1948; a brother, Benjamin M. Barr and a sister, Eva E. Barr. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and was previously employed as a bus driver and cafeteria cook for the Beltsville, MD, SDA School. Marion is survived by brothers Martin I. Barr, Jr., of Smithsburg, MD; George D. Barr of Huffman, TX; and sister Edna M. E. Barr Ripley (Charles) of Erie, CO. Also left to cherish her memory are four sons, Ronald M. Williams (Jeri) of Belington, WV; Donald R. Williams (Ellen) of Shepherdstown, WV; Thomas J. Williams (Debby) of Annapolis, MD; and James D. Williams (Lori) of Martinsburg, WV.; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Private family services will be conducted by Pastor Tom Boggess at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery, Flintstone, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430. Arrangements were made by J.L.
