Patsy Lou (Bowman) Meyers

On Christmas morning, Tuesday December 25, 2018, Patsy Lou Meyers, 88, of Hagerstown, MD, was called home to join in the celebration of the birth of Christ with her mother, Frances Bowman whose birthday was also on this day, her husband, Robert N. Meyers and her two sisters, Maryann Weaver and Betty Hemphill. Patsy was a native of Hagerstown and enjoyed hosting and cooking for family gatherings and spending time perfecting her wide interest in various crafts. She passed down her love for animals, especially cats, and the value of sharing with others to her only daughter Frances McGarvey. As a widow in her late years Patsy spent her time, sharing wonderful memories with her two sisters by enjoying regular lunches at Pizza Hut, shopping for groceries and celebrating Thanksgiving by having a delicious dinner of hotdogs and beans. Patsy will be forever remembered by her daughter Frances, her two granddaughters Celena Russ and Lianna Russ and five great grandchildren, Michael, Aiden, Adrian, Reece and little Amina. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all of Patsy’s caregivers for all their love and devotion, with a very special thanks to Christine and Beth who were the rocks upon which I leaned and were like constant angels by her side. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
