Richard Dale Scott, Sr.

Richard Dale “Rick” Scott, Sr. 65, of Sabillasville, MD, entered into the arms of our eternal heavenly father, Monday, December 17, 2018 at Meritus Medical Center of Hagerstown, MD. Born Friday, November 20, 1953 in Frederick, MD, he was the son of the late Esta M. (Baker) Scott. He was a graduate of Smithsburg High School class of 1971. He retired from L W Wolfe Enterprise of Myersville, MD, in 2015. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Rick is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 38 years, Robin Gale (Fisher) Scott, whom he married September 9, 1980, daughter, Penny S. (Kline) Rice and husband Russell, son, Richard D. Scott, Jr., sister, Rosemarie Cullen, brother, Ronald Scott and wife Debbie, grandchildren, Tristan Rice, Hope Rice, Aaliyah Scott and Grayson Scott, long-time friend, John Neal, nieces, nephews and many other close family and friends. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Stotler and Geraldine Carty and one brother, Carol Scott. Services will be held Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at 1:00pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD, with Pastor Virgil Cain officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Foxville, MD.
