Rickie Carroll "Bubba" Bowers, Jr.

Rickie Carroll “Bubba” Bowers, Jr., 36, of Sharpsburg, MD, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at his home. Born Tuesday, June 22, 1982 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of Shelly Louise Barnhart of Williamsport, MD, and the late Rickie Carroll Bowers, Sr. Bubba worked as a construction worker, excavator and tree service mechanic over the years. He loved to be at the river or in the mountains. He was a country boy and a FORD truck man. Bubba was a big teddy bear who always had a hug for everyone. In addition to his mother, Bubba is survived by paternal grandparents, Robert Bowers, Sr. and Rayetta Marie Bowers, and maternal grandparents, Russell Calvin Barnhart, Jr., and Donald Eugene Lowery and Shirley Ann Lowery, son, Rickie James Bowers, brother, Donald Eugene Bowers, sisters, Tasha Nichole Crouse and Renee Hope Wade, fiancé, Julie Nicole Springer and her children Kayla Nicole and Tyler Joseph, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by son, Blaise Leroy-Dean Bowers, his maternal great-grandparents and paternal great-grandparents. Services will be held Monday, March 18, 2019 at 8:00pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm, two hours prior to the service.
