Sylvia Ann Eichelberger

Sylvia Ann “Muffin” “Banana Nut” Eichelberger, 68, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Friday, September 6, 2019 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD. Born Monday, July 2, 1951 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Amos Beaver, Sr. and Jean Catherine (Himes) Beaver. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard “Oscar” Eichelberger. She attended Boonsboro High School. Sylvia was a member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church of Hagerstown, previously serving on the choir. She was employed by Ryan’s Restaurant and Richardson’s Restaurant, both of Hagerstown. Sylvia loved to color and sing. She touched a lot of hearts everywhere she went. She is survived by one daughter, Pearl Eichelberger, two sisters, Barbara Jean Vaughn and husband Tom and Robyn L. Shafer, two brothers, Floyd A. “Sam” Beaver, Jr. and wife Deborah and Dean A. Beaver and wife Sally and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 11:00am at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD, with Rev. Christopher Senfusa officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown, MD. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
