Steven Victor Trumpower of Fayetteville, Pennsylvania, passed away on April 24, 2026 at the age of 74.
Born December 29, 1951, to the late Victor and Betty (Kuhn) Trumpower, Steve grew up in Smithsburg, Maryland, later settling in the Michaux Forest of Pennsylvania.
A 1970 graduate of Smithsburg High School, he later had a career in welding at Grove International. Upon retirement, Steve embraced his true love, horticulture. He started a gardening business, ornamenting private residences throughout the area.
Steve was a lifelong outdoorsman - hunter, angler, bowman, cyclist, forager, and gardener. He threw a mean horseshoe and never met a target he couldn’t hit. Steve was a champion daffodil and dahlia grower and long time member of the Gettysburg Dahlia Society.
He is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Trumpower, mother of grandsons, Jonathan and Vaughn; and Kellie Davis, mother of grandchildren, Amanda, Cody, Megan, and Caitlin; and great grandchildren, Lyla, Autumn, and Ezra.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Larry Trumpower, and sister, Linda Trumpower Shank.
There will be no service at this time. The family will host a memorial celebration at a later date.
