Thelma Joy (Foster) McGuire

Thelma Joy McGuire, 79, of Cavetown, MD, passed away Friday, September 11, 2020 at her home. Born December 19, 1940 in Washington DC, she was the daughter of the late William Henry Foster and Lena Winnifred (Speakes) Foster. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Gary Lee McGuire, Sr. who passed away July 25, 2018. They were married February 19, 1959. Thelma is survived by son, Daniel McGuire, Sr. and wife Debra, daughters, Lena Dick and husband Larry, Lisa Sweeney and husband Terry and Cary Lynn Thomas and husband Eddie, grandchildren, Gary Sweeney, Daniel McGuire Jr., Victoria Blair and Ryan McGuire, great-grandchildren, Jayden Blair and Audrina Blair, sister, Winnifred Payne and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Lee McGuire, Jr. and several brothers and sisters. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were made by J.L.
