Betty Rose (Smeltzer) Kline

Betty R. Kline, 89, of Chewsville, MD. passed away Wednesday May 22,2019, at her home. Born in February 7, 1930 in Martinsburg, WV., she was the daughter of the late Thatcher Harlan and Cora Pearl Leopold Smeltzer. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Joseph Kline on January 15, 2002. She graduated from Martinsburg High School, Class of 1948. She loved bingo and word search books. She is survived by daughters, Vanessa Lowe of Christiana, TN. And Jo Ann Younkins of Hagerstown, MD., sons: Billy Kline, Ricky Kline, Dwight Kline all of Chewsville, Michael Kline of Greencastle, PA., Charles Kline of Great Cacapon, WV., sister Coretta Brining of Martinsburg, WV., along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters Virginia Cramer, Louise Smeltzer and Margaret Snyder and brothers Jack Smeltzer, Dave Smeltzer and Kenneth Smeltzer. Services will be held Thursday May 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg with Rev. John W. Schildt officiating. Burial will be in Cedar lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, MD. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
