Clinton Bruce Massie

Clinton Bruce Massie, 59, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018, doing what he liked best, hunting. Born Monday, July 6, 1959 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late John Edward Massie, Sr. and Virginia Lee (Lapole) Massie. He was a graduate of South Hagerstown High School. Following graduation, he went to work for Maryland Ribbon Company of Hagerstown where he was still employed at the time of his death. He has been with the company for over 41 years. Clinton was a n avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed going to auctions. Clinton is survived by daughters, Cheryl Barklow and Loretta Butts, step-sons, CJ Hewitt and Timothy Hewitt, sisters, Becky Wise and husband Chester and Jodi St.Clain, brothers, John Massie, Sr. and wife Sherry, Joseph Massie and Timothy Massie, Sr., thirteen grandchildren, one special grandson “His Buddy” Joshua, one great grandchild and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by one brother, Monty Massie. A viewing will be held Friday, November 2, 2018 from 6-8pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
