Damon Baker Obituary

Damon Bron Baker, 48, born and raised in Funkstown, MD, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Mertius Medical Center surrounded by his loving family and loved ones. Born January 20, 1971 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of Audrey Marie (Needy) Baker of Funkstown and the late George Doss Baker. Bron was a graduate of South Hagerstown High School class of 1989. He was an avid Clint Eastwood movie fan, enjoyed dirt bike riding, going to his WV mountains property and spending time with family. He was employed by Washington County Board of Education as a custodial engineer. He was previously a co-owner of All American Trades Men Inc., specializing in E.I.F.S. He also specialized in any construction or maintenance project that the family would need done. In addition to his mother, Bron is survived by his companion of 25+ years, Alicia Kendall and his trusted pal Parker, sister, Andrea Beth Layman and husband Harry “Blackie” Layman, nephew, Harrison Layman, niece, Sophia Layman and his extended family, Shane and Brandy Kendall, Nicole Houser, Keith Kendall and their families. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 14, 2019 at 1:00pm at Funkstown Lutheran Church with Pastor Lee Brumback officiating. A celebration of life will follow, down the street at the Funktown American Legion. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Damon Bron Baker to The Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758541, Topeka, KS, 66675. Arrangements were made by J.L.
