Donald Lee Blickenstaff, Sr.

Donald Lee Blickenstaff, Sr., 72, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA. Born September 20, 1946 in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of the late Charles Lee Blickenstaff, Sr. and Frances Louise (Trite) Blickenstaff. He attended Smithsburg High School. He was a member of South Mountain Rod and Gun Club of Smithsburg, MD and the Moose Lodge of Williamsport, MD. He was employed over the years by Lewis Orchards, Keystone Homes for 30 years, Beta Construction and previously by University of Allied as a security guard. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, motorcycle rider and loved spending time at the beach. Donald is survived by his wife of 15 years, Alice F. (Doran) Blickenstaff whom he married May 17, 2003, sons, Curtis Blickenstaff and wife Dana and Donald Blickenstaff and companion Kristie, daughter, Dawn Needy, step-son, Deryle Bingaman and wife Rebecca, step-daughters, Vanessa Moats and husband Mark and Tamera Eichelberger and husband Jack, grandchildren, Donnie and wife Joanna, Brent, Jessica and fiancé Jonathan, Aaron and wife Kate, Codie and fiancé Kylie, Seth, Samantha, Jade and companion Zack, Cory, Austin, Dylan, Jordan, Jake, Kade, Josie, Tiara and Payton, great-grandchildren, Carson, Camden, Kaiden, Avery, Kaylee, Raelynn, Caysinn, Caysen, Austin and Quinn, brothers, Charles, Jr., Richard, Larry, Marty and Darryl, sisters, Betty Lou Hammond, Angela Ahalt and Patricia Hawks and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Naomi M. (Hull) Blickenstaff in 1990, sisters, Sharon Huntzberry and Diane Keller and brother, Ronald Brown. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 28, 2019 at 11:00am at Cornerstone Community Church, Hagerstown, MD, with Pastor Dean Pryor officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Donald Blickenstaff, Sr. to the Cornerstone Community Church, 20519 Beaver Creek Rd. Hagerstown, MD, 21740.
