George Adolph Leissler III

George Adolph Leissler III, 57, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Meritus Medical Center of Hagerstown. Born Saturday, July 23, 1960 in Washington D.C., he was the son of Myra Ann (Coffin) Leissler of Alexander, VA, and the late George Adolph Leissler II. He was a member of Pondsville Mennonite Church. George was a farmer. He enjoyed playing tennis and was an avid outdoorsman. He is survived by daughters, Lydia Purdham and Samantha Stevens and husband Russell, son, George “Joe” Leissler IV and wife Amanda, wife, Sandi Leissler, sister, Renee Mehrdad, two grandsons that he adored, Cayden and Jacob, nieces, Shannon Sights and Michelle Leissler and many extended family and friends. Services will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 10:00am at Pondsville Mennonite Church, 22174 Pondsville Rd. Smithsburg, MD, with Stouffer-Pondsville Ministries officiating. Burial will be in Stouffer-Pondsville Mennonite Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5-8pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD.
