Hanford Clifford Cook, Jr.

Hanford C. Cook Jr (Junior), age 72 of Rocky Ridge Maryland died November 1, 2018 at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Born June 29, 1946, He was the son on the late Hanford C Cook Sr and Florence V Cook (Kitty). Mr. Cook was married to his first wife, Marlene R Cook for 15 years. He then was married to Helen I Cook for 29 years until her death in 2013. Mr. Cook is survived by his immediate family, Jeff Cook and wife Jodie, Tina White and husband David, Cheryl Holt, and Marie Hemp. Grandchildren, Tabitha Frenning, Stephen Cook, Albert White, Eli White, Christopher Holt, Shane Holt, Alexis Martz, Joshua Martz, Brandon Hemp, Logan Hemp, and great granddaughter Kailey Holt. Mr. Cook has two brothers, Larry Cook and wife Michelle and Dick Cook and wife Pat. Mr. Cook was a Walkersville High School graduate of 1964. He was a hard worker from early on, working on the farm, having his own construction company, working at Moores Business Forms and then at Frederick County Public Schools as a small engine mechanic. He continued to be very active up until his death. Mr. Cook enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, going to live country music shows, watching and feeding birds at his home, and visiting Myrtle beach. He was a friend to many and will be missed dearly. He will be remembered by his sweetheart, Pat Finneyfrock. The family will receive friends at the Monocacy Church of the Brethren, 13517 Motters Station Road, Rocky Ridge, Md. 21778 on Wednesday, November 7, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. On Thursday, November 8 Mr. Cook will lay in state at 10 am. The Funeral and burial services will begin at 11 am. at the church. Arrangements were made by J.L.
