Harry Edward “Ed” Baughman, 70, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away at his home on Monday, November 25, 2019. Born August 15, 1949 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Harry E. and Cleopatra (Cramer) Baughman. He was a graduate of Smithsburg High School class of 1968. Ed worked for 35 years for Grove Manufacturing, 10 years for Target Distribution Center and after retirement, he then worked part time at AC&T Hopewell Road. Ed loved sports. He was associated with American Little League for 20 years as a coach, manager, and served 3 terms as president. Ed is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda (Grove) Baughman, three sons, Jeremy E. Baughman and wife Lori, Andrew M. Baughman and wife Joanna, and Matthew R. Baughman and wife Jennifer all of Hagerstown, thirteen much loved grandchildren, Cara Baughman, Payton Baughman, Matthew Baughman, Jr., Logan Baughman, Taylor Baughman, Cameron Miller, Hanna Hart, Adriana Miller, Bentley Baughman, Mia Baughman, Dylan Baughman, Ryder Baughman and Carson Baughman, and one sister, Harriet Morgan. He was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Flook. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 2:00pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD. The family wishes to express thanks to Hospice of Washington County, Doey’s House, and John Marsh Cancer Center’s wonderful doctors and staff for their kindness during this trying time.
