James K. “Jim” Green, Sr. 73, of Sabillasville, MD, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018, at Meritus Medical Center of Hagerstown, MD.
Born Sunday, October 7, 1945 in Wigville, MD, he was the son of the late Marshall B. Green and Edna R. (Smith) Green.
Jim worked several years at the Thurmont Shoe Company and was a custodian at Frederick High School and Emmitsburg Elementary School until he retired in 2008.
He was a member of the South Mountain Rod and Gun Club of Smithsburg, MD.
He was an avid hunter. He enjoyed yard sales and riding over the catoctin mountains in his red SUV.
Jim is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sandy Wetzel Green, two sons, James and Len, one brother, Frank and wife Gaby of Waynesboro, PA, and one sister, Ethel Donnelly of Sabillasville.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Billy, George and Earl and three sisters, Pauline, Pasty and Clara.
Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
