Joan Marie (Sellers) Pitsnogle

Joan Marie Pitsnogle, 82, of Smithsburg, MD, passed away Friday, June 29, 2018 at Fahrney Keedy Memorial Home of Boonsboro, MD. Born Saturday, December 28, 1935 in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Irvin A. Sellers, Sr. and Marie A. (Rager) Sellers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Pitsnogle, April 9, 2003. She was a graduate of Hagerstown High School. She was employed over the years by Bromley’s Orchard, Brocroft Kennels, Hadley Farms and was a care giver and childcare provider. Joan is survived by sons, Donald Pitsnogle, Brian Pitsnogle and wife Rhonda and Steve Pitsnogle and wife Kathy, grandchildren, Christopher Pitsnogle and fiancé Brittney and Tyler Darby and fiancé Heather, great-grandchildren, Joey, Ryder and Stevie, sister, Jane Grove, son-in-law, Curtis Davis and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Pitsnogle Davis and one brother, Irvin “Sonny” Sellers, Jr. Services will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 10:00am at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD, with Pastor Tim Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Manor Church Cemetery, Boonsboro, MD. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
