Kathleen Virginia (Miller) Dewease

Kathleen Virginia Dewease, 86, of Edgemont, MD, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Julia Manor Healthcare of Hagerstown, MD. Born Thursday, March 3, 1932 near Edgemont, MD, she was the daughter of the late Herman E. Miller and Mary M. (Bowman) Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lenwood C. “Woody” Dewease, October 21, 1999. She was a graduate of Smithsburg High School. She retired from Avalon Manor Nursing Home of Hagerstown. Kathleen is survived by daughter, Kathy M. Boschert and companion Mike Danley, son, Richard E. Dewease and wife Joyce, granddaughter, Jennifer Millhouse and husband Tim, great-grandsons, Devin Pastors and Rylen Millhouse, sister, Rosalie Forrest and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by brother, Richard Miller, step-sisters, Lillian Pryor, Pauline Lowe and Gladys Biglow and step-brother, Fred Miller. Services will be held Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 1:00pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD, with Pastor Julie Brigham officiating. Burial will be in Ringgold Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
