Ken was a member of Christ Reformed United Church of Christ of Cavetown, where he served on the consistory and cemetery committee.
He was a jack of all trades and shared his talent with family and friends. He loved to drive and enjoyed his RV, traveling across the U.S. and into Canada, and attending Nascar events as a huge Kevin Harvick fan.
Ken is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Winters), whom he nicknamed Dot and with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage on May 16, 2019; daughters Suzanne (Tom) Downey of Smithsburg and Lori (Mark) Cates of Piney Point, MD.
He was immensely proud of his family, especially his four grandchildren: Brian (Nancy) Downey of San Diego, CA., Brandon (Robin) Gatton of California, MD., Gretchen (Addison) Goodley of Flagstaff, AZ., and Logan (Brandi) Gatton of Hill AFB, Utah and two great grandchildren Cameron and Wren Gatton.
Ken was preceded in death by twin great grandsons Jack and Heath in 2018.
