Mary Jane (Miller) Sipes

Mary Jane Sipes, 94, passed from this life on Saturday February 24th at Hagerstown Health Care, after an extended bout with pneumonia. She was born on March 6th,1923 in Chambersburg, PA. She was the oldest child of 6 children of William Calvin Miller and Isabel Susan (Stoner) Miller. She was a homemaker all her life, raising her 2 children as a single parent. She was a loving and gentle person. She was a huge Penn State fan. She is survived by her children, Linda K. (Sipes) Young and William R. (Bill) Sipes both of Hagerstown. Grandchildren, Jennifer (Young) Dintaman and husband Don, Raymond Sipes and wife Lori, Sheree (Sipes) Guyer and husband Brandon, great grandchildren, Donnie, Elizabeth (Ella) and Laurel Dintaman, Brayden and Adalyn Guyer. Sister Grace Sipes of Berkeley Springs, WV. and many nieces and nephews. She was a member of Calvary Holiness Church for many years. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Manor Church of the Brethren Boonsboro, MD. with Pastor Joy Zepp and Pastor Kent Keesecker officiating. Donations may be made to Calvary Holiness Church, 818 Marshall St. Hagerstown, Md. 21740. Arrangements have been entrusted to J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD.
