Michael Eugene Knode

Michael Eugene Knode, 55, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Meritus Hospital. Born Tuesday, February 26, 1963, in Hagerstown MD, he was the son of the late Lucille Knode and Merle J Knode SR. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda Kay Knode, his brother, Larry Wayne Knode, and his Nephew, Brian Michael Swartz. Mike is survived by his Brother's, Harry W Knode and wife Rose, Merle J Knode Jr, and his Sisters Kathy Swartz and husband Elwood, Sue Sarver and her husband Gary, Lisa Blair and late husband Ronald, and Lisa Keefer all of Hagerstown MD. He is also survived by his three stepchildren Christine Hawbaker and David Whiteman of Falling Waters, WV, Jessica and Danny Swope of Martinsburg WV, Billy and Tina Hawbaker of Paris, TN. and his 6 Grandkids Destiny Grimm, Corey Grimm, Branden Kline, Hunter Whiteman, Christian Hawbaker and Johnathon Hawbaker. Other survivors include; his nieces and nephews, Richard Knode, Scott Knode, Travis Knode, Jason Sarver, Bradley Harbaugh, Chris Keefer, Eric Swartz, Jason Knode, Justin Knode, Cody Knode, Megan Cox, Montana Cox, Becky Sottile, Jenna Knode and Brianna Knode, his cat Britten and his great-nephew Bryson Swartz Mike worked for the Hagerstown Walmart Supercenter as a Department Manager and had previously worked at Kane Logistics Inc. Mike enjoyed talking with friends and spending time with his family, watching television and enjoying cookouts. A viewing / celebration of life gathering will be held Monday, April 2, 2018 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD. Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
