Myron Blaine “Whitey” Reynolds, 79, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Metitus Medical Center. Born October 23, 1938 in Greensburg, MD, he was the son of the late Elder Blaine Reynolds and Eva Catherine (Miller) Reynolds. He attended Smithsburg High School. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Greensburg, a life member of North American Rod and Gun Club of Hagerstown, a member of Elk’s Lodge 378 of Hagerstown, past member of Smithsburg Lion’s Club and past member of the Washington County Home Builder’s Association. Whitey was a self-employed building contactor owning and operating M B Reynolds and Son, Inc. Before becoming self-employed, he worked for various home building contractors in Washington County. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Leda May (Ginn) Reynolds whom he married October 7, 1961, daughter, Karen Bingaman and husband Ronald, son, Richard Reynolds and wife Gwynn, sister, Elise Wolfe, brothers, Wayne Reynolds and Kenneth Reynolds, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Norman Reynolds and Charles Reynolds and step-brother, Arthur Reynolds. Services will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 1:00pm at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Greensburg, MD, with Pastor Julie Brigham and Pastor Stephanie Steele officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, MD. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD.
