Richard Carter "Corky" Allamong

Richard “Corky” C. Allamong,61, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away August 8, 2018 surrounded by his family after his battle with ALS. Born June 19, 1957, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Richard Allamong and Carol Carter-Grove. He was the husband of Melissa Harbaugh Allamong, whom he married January 2, 1998. Richard was a 1975 graduate of North Hagerstown High School. He was employed with Volvo, along with Washington Air Compressors, Rentals Unlimited and many years at Frederick Trading Company. He was a lifetime member of Williamsport Red Man Lodge 84. He enjoyed his family and celebrating holidays especially July 4th. He loved his fireworks. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Nascar and he loved his video games til the end. In addition to his wife, He is survived by sons; Jesse Allamong (friend Sherry), and Tyler Allamong (wife Miriah), along with his step children Erick Wagaman (wife Meagan) and Emily Ricketts (husband Kevin). Grandchildren; Gia, Cameren, Arabella, Lyveia, Sophia, Blake, Spencer, Samuel, and Olivia. His sisters Debbie Stottlemyer (husband Richard) and Dawn Hayzlett (husband Jeff), Content Allamong, Step mother Deborah Allamong, Step sisters Shannon Rideout, Shawn Rideout, Mother-in-law Virginia Harbaugh, Sisters-in-law Annette Delaplaine and Loretta Hahn (husband Mike), Brother-in-law Adam Harbaugh (friend Brenda) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his half-brother Ritchie Allamong. Services will be held Sunday August 12, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. from St. Matthews Lutheran Church 9714 Beaver Creek Church Rd, Hagerstown, MD 21740. Pastor Regina Beard officiating.
