Scott Leiter Pryor, Sr.

Scott Leiter Pryor, Sr., 90, of Blue Ridge Summit, PA, passed away Monday, November 12, 2018 at The Leland of Laurel Run in Waynesboro, PA. Born Monday, November 28, 1927 near Smithsburg, MD, he was the son of the late Mark F. Pryor, Sr. and Mildred (Garver) Pryor. He was preceded in death by his wife Selma Jane Pryor, May 18, 2014. He was a graduate of Smithsburg High School and attended Hagerstown Junior College. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Army. Scott retired from Landis Tool Company of Waynesboro, PA, and worked for Waynesboro Design after retirement. He was a member of the Church of the Transfiguration of Blue Ridge Summit, PA, the American Legion Post 15 of Waynesboro, PA, and was a past member of the Elks Lodge of Waynesboro, PA. Scott is survived by sons, Scott Leiter Pryor, Jr. and wife Saundra of South Mountain, PA, and Spencer P. Pryor of Bloomington, IL, daughter, Sarah E. Navarro of Boiling Springs, PA, grandchildren, Tyler Pryor, Samantha Pryor, David Day, Jessica Pryor, Emily Navarro, Madalyn Navarro, Aryn Navarro and Reilly Navarro and great-grandchildren, Anna Pryor and Cole Day. He was preceded in death by his only brother, Mark F. Pryor, Jr. in 2017. A memorial service will be held Friday, November 16, 2018 at 2:00pm at the Church of the Transfiguration, Blue Ridge Summit, PA, with Father Fred Stevenson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery of Cascade, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Scott L. Pryor, Sr. to the Church of the Transfiguration, 13646 Summit Ave. Blue Ridge Summit, PA, 17214. Arrangements were made by J.L.
