Steven Lee Sterling

Steven Lee Sterling, 57, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at his home. Born Thursday, December 8, 1960 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Conway G. Sterling, Sr. and Etta Gay (Martin) DeHart. He was the brother of Conway G. Sterling, Jr., Amy Scadden and Donna Sue Durning. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Zebulon T. “Bob” DeHart. Steven entered Rosewood on September 5, 1973 and later entered the ARC of Washington County Kemp Horn Home in fall of 1975. He attended ARC’s early daycare in 1971 and later the Chewsville, Crossroads and Daybreak Program from which he retired. Steven was a sweet, affectionate soul with a beautiful smile who loved to have fun and laugh. He loved cartoons, The Price is Right, going for car rides, being outside, playing with blocks and had a love for puzzles. A service will be held Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 11:00am at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD, with Hospice Chaplain Jeff Casto officiating. Burial will be in Smithsburg Cemetery. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service.
