Thomas A. “Tommy” Snyder, 73, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018, at Julia Manor Nursing Home in Hagerstown, MD.
He was born Friday, May 11, 1945, in Rhode Island, NY, to parents Eugene P. Snyder and Marion L. (Sheesley) Snyder who have preceded him in death.
He is survived by two sisters, Donna Armstrong and husband Eugene of Hagerstown, and Suzanne Short of Hagerstown, two nieces Cheryl Bussard and husband Joel, and Crista Armstrong, and two nephews, Damon Paul Dietrich and Anthony Scott Armstrong.
He served his Country in the United States Airforce from 1963 to 1967 during the Vietnam War as Airman Second Class as an airplane mechanic and aircraft maintenance Specialist.
He had many friends along the way, and he had a great sense of humor. He gave the nurses at Julia Manor a run for their money. He would always help anybody out and would give you his last dollar. He was an avid Civil War & American Indian buff.
