Vivian Elaine (Rohrer) Barnes Weagley

Vivian E. Barnes Weagley, 87, formerly of Chewsville, MD, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Chambersburg Hospital. Born Sunday, April 19, 1931 in Chewsville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Bernard Landis Rohrer and Lottie Amelia (Bachtell) Rohrer. Vivian loved the outdoors. She enjoyed spending many hours in her garden and area fields and woods. She was also an excellent cook, enjoying entertaining friends and family. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Joseph Weagley; two sons, Roger Barnes and wife Sherry of Chambersburg and Kim Barnes of Williamsport; one daughter, Sandra Maginnis and husband Bob of Waynesboro; grandsons, Michael, Adam and Joshua, two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six sisters, Doris, Thelma, Evelyn, Jennie, Peggy and Nancy and four brothers, Lee, Joe, Nevin and Ernest. Services will be held Monday, July 2, 2018 at 11:00am at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD, with Pastor Herman Fisler officiating. Burial will be in Smithsburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
