ANNA MAE CHANEY

Anna Mae Chaney, 85, of Kearneysville, WV, passed away peacefully, Monday, January 1, 2024, at her home, surrounded by loving family.

Born on March 28, 1938, in Griffithsville, WV, she was the daughter of the late Ruth (Miller) and Ezra Miles.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, William "Bill" Frederick Chaney; and Brother, Charlie Miles.

Anna retired as a Teacher's Aide in Carroll County, MD public schools.

Anna was a member of Baker Heights Baptist Church, Martinsburg.

Anna enjoyed traveling and vacationing, reading, watching Jeopardy!, and was really good at puzzles. She also enjoyed spending time with family, more especially her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

She is survived by her Son, David K. Chaney of Kearneysville; Grandchildren, Abagail Rose Ridler (Zachariah) and Molly Marie Chaney (Angel’Leo Light); Great Grandchildren, McKenzie, Bryson and Dax; Sister, Joan Wilhelm; Brothers, Larry Miles (Paula) and Jerry Miles (Charlotte); and numerous Nieces and Nephews.

A memorial service will be held, at Baker Heights Baptist Church, 580 Needy Rd, Martinsburg, WV 25405, on Saturday January 13, 2024, at 1:00 pm with Pastor Raymond Bouchoc officiating. Inurnment will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Martinsburg.
