Arlene Fay (Delauter) Beard

Arlene Fay (Delauter) Beard, 68, of Sabillasville, MD, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026 surrounded by loving family.

Born on February 6, 1958 in Waynesboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Nina Ardean (Lewis) Delauter and Howard Leon Delauter, Sr.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Siblings, Phyllis Cline, Howard L. Delauter, Jr., Mary Delauter, Joseph Delauter; her one true love, David Beard; and her beloved cat, Beth.

Arlene graduated from Catoctin High School, class of 1976.

Arlene was employed as a LPN at Fahrney-Keedy Nursing Home, Boonsboro, Glade Valley Nursing Home, Walkersville, and Daughters of Charity, Emmitsburg.

Arlene was a member of Germantown Church of God, Ladies' Ministries, Cascade, MD. She was also a cat enthusiast and loved spending time with family.

She is survived by her Step-Son, Brian Beard (Erica); Step-Grandson, Colton; Sister, Geraldine Reck (Jerry); Sister in Law, Edith Delauter; Nieces and Nephews, Tina, Cindy, Ralph, Patricia, Melinda, Jeanette, Christina, Sonja and Jason; Great Nieces and Nephews, Lars, Blaine, Mia, Jesse, Miranda, Bethany, Naomi, Jacob, Luke, Conner, Logan, Keegan and Brianne; and Great Great Niece, Hazel.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 3 PM at Germantown Church of God, 16924 Raven Rock Rd. Cascade, MD 21719 with Pastor Linda Rosenberry officiating. Inurnment will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Cascade, MD.

Family will receive friends at the church one hour prior.
