BASIL EUGENE HARNE

Basil Harne, 96, of Cavetown, MD, Passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024, in his home with his family by his side.

Basil was born on September 25, 1927.

He is survived by his only son, Jerry and daughter-in-law, Loreen, 2 grandchildren, Vickie Roux and Mark Harne, 5 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Basil was preceded in death by wife, Lucille in 2021. He greatly missed her and looked forward to the day they would be together again.

Basil and Lucille celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary prior to her passing. They enjoyed many trips in their RV to Florida, the Smokey Mountains, Alaska, and Canada, to name a few.

They also rode many miles on their motorcycles over the years.

Basil continued to ride his Harley Davidson up until the last two years of his life here on earth.

He retired from Callas Contractors after 35 years of employment.

He was a member of the Garfield United Methodist Church.

Services will be held Friday March 22nd at 11:00 AM at Garfield United Methodist Church. Interment will be at Cavetown Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
