Beverly Dawn Durst, 70, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away suddenly at home June 11, 2024.
Born September 10, 1953, in Johnstown, PA, she was the daughter of Donald Arthur Mangus and Alice Viola Irwin Hawks.
An excellent cook, Beverly was known to throw dinner parties for family and friends, making every holiday a major culinary event.
She worked for many years in the service industry for members of the armed forces at Morris Frock American Legion, Post 42 on Northern Avenue in Hagerstown MD.
In addition to her parents, Beverly was predeceased by sister Valerie Jean Jones in 2006, and husband James Durst in 2012. She is survived by sister Mary Gray (husband Raymond Gray), son Jeremy Wetzel (partner Gary Carter), daughter Alison Blair (husband Tim Blair), son Brian Wetzel (wife Wendy Wetzel), daughter Crystal Baker (husband Shawn Baker), daughter Louise Turner, eleven grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, several nieces and nephews, special friend Lilian Howard, and her faithful companion Ween.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 10:00 am, Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown MD. There will be no viewing.
She was an animal lover, memorial donations in her memory can be made to Fifty Shades of Furr Inc., 132 Old National Pike, Hagerstown MD 21740
