It is with great sadness that the family of Barbara Bayer announces the passing of a great lady.
Born in Jacksonville, FL, she was the daughter of Carolyn Kirk and the late William Kirk.
She was a member of the American Legion Post 71 of Charlestown, WV.
Barbara was an avid motorcycle rider with friends from coast to coast. She enjoyed gardening which made her property look like an oasis for family and friends. She gave indiscriminately to whoever needed help. She was a turtle and of the Wiccan faith and practice. She was a nationally recognized tarot card reader and seer. She was doggedly determined to do what was best for the ones she loved. She had an exterior of steel and a soul of gold.
She leaves behind her husband of 20 years, a man who truly amazed her, Dennis Bayer, her two daughters, Rebecca McConnell and Sarah Few and her partner Brian who she loved regardless, two grandchildren, Kamren McConnell and Roland Few Anderson you know you’re her favorites, three siblings, Lori Mahaffy and husband David, Susan Killiam and husband Matt and Eric Kirk and wife Marcella and their daughter Isabella, brother-in-law’s, Larry Bayer and wife Susan, Randy Bayer and wife Vickie and Tony O’Hara and wife Liz.
She was preceded in crossing over by one sister, Tracey.
She had too many close friends to mention and they know who they are.
Cue the Angels.
Arrangements were made by J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg, MD, and online condolences may be offered at www.jldavisfh.com.
