Bonnie Jean (Monn) Boyd

Bonnie Jean Boyd, 74, of Smithsburg, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at her home. Born on October 18, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Robert Roy Monn and Helen Louise (Huntsberry) Monn. Bonnie attended Smithsburg High School. She spent her life taking care of her children and grandchildren. A favorite pastime was hand embroidering pillowcases for family and friends. She is survived by a sister, Debra Roberts, daughter Tammy Roberts and husband Randy, sons Ronnie Boyd Jr., Roy Boyd and girlfriend Jessica Montgomery, and Jeff Boyd, daughter in-law Tiffany Boyd, grandchildren Jacob Wade, Michelle Wallace and husband John ,Rachael Roberts and boyfriend Joshua Couser, Jarrett Boyd, Abigail Boyd, and Madison Boyd, great grandchildren Alicia Hanna, Brixen Lynn, Lucas Hanna, Madison Couser and Jasmine Couser. She is also survived by her very special aunt, Marie Huntsberry. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ronald L Boyd Sr, son, Paul L Boyd, and grandson, Joshua Wallace. She was a member of Black Rock Bible Church. The family would like to thank Hospice of Washington County for the love and care given to their mother in her final weeks. The family will receive friends at J. L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Avenue, Smithsburg, MD on Monday, June 1, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Black Rock Bible Church, 9646 Crystal Falls Dr. Hagerstown, MD on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 10am, with Pastor Guy Nesbitt officiating.
