Bradley James "Pete" Routzahn

Bradley James “Pete” Routzahn, 93, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on March 15, 2021 at Somerford Place of Hagerstown. Bradley was born on August 25, 1927 in Middletown, MD, to the late Ennis and Carrie (Naille) Routzahn. He was a graduate of Middletown High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He and his wife of 70 years, Carolyn, raised two daughters, Katrina, and Kristal. Bradley worked for Potomac Edison for 40 years. He was a member of Garfield United Methodist Church of Garfield, MD, and served on the board of trustees for several years. Bradley cared deeply for his family, was a hard worker that always loved to lend a helping hand to family and friends and was always happy. In his younger days, he enjoyed wood working, gardening, and riding his motorcycle. In addition to his parents, Bradley was preceded in death by one daughter, Katrina Routzahn. Bradley is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Routzahn, one daughter, Kristal Bricker and husband Chris, two granddaughters, Renee McNamee and husband Jon and Brooke Cordell, five great-grandsons, Owen, Bennett, Mason, Reid and Asher and his beloved canine companion, Isabell. Services will be held Friday, March 19, 2021 at 11:00am at Garfield United Methodist Church with Pastor Mary Ricketts officiating. Burial will be in Garfield United Methodist Church Cemetery with military honors provided by the Marine Corp League and Joint Veterans Council of Washington County. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
