CHARLES R. GLADHILL, II

Charles “Bobby” Rapheal Gladhill II, 57, of Pennersville Rd., Cascade, MD, passed away peacefully in his

home on Wednesday July 2, 2025, with his family close by his side after a hard-fought battle with cancer.

Born Nov. 2, 1967, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Charles Raphael and Devona Jean

(Holtz) Gladhill of Cascade. Bobby was known for being “a jack of all trades but a master of none” in his

own words with the various occupations he held. He was employed with Tamko Roofing Products in

Frederick, MD as a Mechanic-Class II for many years. With his most recent employment being with

Structural Building Solutions in Thurmont, MD as a Maintenance Mechanic.

He will be fondly remembered for his various hobbies and interests like putting together model cars, his

compassion for wildlife, and his extensive collection of Muscle Machines. But those who truly knew

Bobby knew he could always be found out in his garage fixing something.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Lynn (Manahan) Gladhill; two daughters Jennifer Gladhill of Cascade and

Samantha Ecker and husband Macaulay of Taneytown. Four grandchildren, Gavin Gladhill and Noah,

Rylee and Peyton Ecker, and several nieces and nephews. His memory will also be dearly remembered in

the hearts of numerous special friends.

Bobby Gladhill was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Warren and Viola Gladhill, maternal

grandparents Wilbur and Beulah “Francis” (Eyler) Holtz and sister Joyce Fuss.

To honor Bobby’s wishes there will be no funeral services. A celebration of the life he lived will be held

on July 19th, 2025, from 2-4pm at the American Legion in Cascade, 14418 MacAfee Hill Rd. Cascade, MD.
