Connie worked at Verbena Spa and Salon in Frederick, MD. She really enjoyed her relationship with her fellow employees and most of all with her clients. She had the personality to make people feel they had known her all her life.
Connie really enjoyed the outdoors. Hiking, exploring, and canoeing. A few favorite spots were the Appalachian Trail and Deep Creek Lake. She really loved her dogs Tebow (St. Bernard) and Cookie (mutt) and rescue cat (from Huntzberry Brothers rock crusher) Gigi, along with her three outdoor mouse catching cats (Let’s go Brandon, Chica Tito, and Bear).
But most important to Connie was her passionate faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her contagious smile shined because of her zest for life and her faith in Jesus. She had the gift of really making people feel welcome, and like she had known them all her life. She was very caring, loving and compassionate. She was a member at Cornerstone Chapel of Leesburg, VA. Where she was involved in the women’s ministry, and the English second language (ESL) ministry. She was very passionate about the ESL, because Connie knew what these people were going through because she had come to the United States from Columbia. She learned the language, became a citizen of the United States, and knows how important it is for our immigrants to learn the language and become a citizen so they can truly thrive in this great nation under God.
