Coreena Chevai Bechtel, born on September 14, 1964, in Odessa, Texas, passed away from natural causes on September 8, 2024, while visiting friends and family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Coreena is preceded in death by her mother, Jan Sensintaffer; her loving husband, Stan Bechtel; and her cherished son, Colton Slavens. She is survived by her father, Roy Sensintaffer; her sons, Dustin (Jessica) Slavens and Brenden Ford; daughters, Samantha Harley Burgess and Alicia (Shawn) Wilson; brothers, Brandon and Josh Sensintaffer; and dear cousin and friend, Bill Barnes. Coreena's legacy will continue through her precious grandchildren: Trenton Slavens, Atira Stoey, Makaila Lucas, Abigail Burgess, Natalie Slavens, Courtney Slavens, Caitlin Slavens, London Wilson, Shawn Wilson Jr, Grant Ford, Abby Ford, and Rayden Ford.
Coreena was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished her family above all else. Her warm spirit and kind heart touched the lives of many, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 1:00 pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave, Smithsburg, MD, 21783.
