DALE TERRY MOATS, SR.

Dale Terry Moats, Sr., 90, of Smithsburg, MD, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Sterling Care Nursing Home, Boonsboro, MD, surrounded by loving family.

Born on February 11, 1935 in Fairplay, MD, he was the son of the late Emory Moats, and Mable (Millar) Moats-Clopper.

He was employed at Potomac Dye, and then Maryland Ribbon Company.

Dale served in the Maryland National Guard for six years.

He is survived by two Sons, Dale Terry Moats, Jr. of Ohio, and Charles E.V. Moats of Smithsburg, MD.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Moats, whom he married on June 19, 1956; Sister, Wanda (Moats) Osborne; and Step Father, Verdeen Clopper.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
