DANIEL ROBERT JONES

Daniel Robert Jones, 91, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Doey's House in Hagerstown.

Born June 3, 1932, in Harmony, WV, he was the son of the late Mason Jones and Ruth (Fields) Jones.

Daniel was a graduate of Martinsburg WV High School, Class of 1950. He went onto Join the U.S. Navy serving from 1950-1954.

After, he attended Stroyer University.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge #378.

Daniel enjoyed reading, spectator Golf, football, baseball, and R.V. Camping.

Daniel is survived by loving wife of 70 years, Barbara L. Jones.

Daniel is also survived by children, Kevin L. Jones of Vista, CA, R. Craig Jones of Hagerstown, MD, and Dana Barnhart of Hagerstown, MD, grandchildren, Joshua C. Jones, Tiffany Jones, Adam Schianodicola, Ciro Schianodicola, Nico Schianodicola, Letizia Turner, Jennifer Jones, Joshua Jones, and Matthew Jones, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, Daniel is preceded in death by his grandson, Zachary Jones.

The family will accept friends for visitation on Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave, Smithsburg, MD.
