DENNIS Domer Obituary

Dennis "Denny" Charles Domer, 76, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away on February 29, 2024, in his hometown.

He was a graduate of South Hagerstown high school in 1965 where he excelled in basketball, baseball and football. Denny proudly served in the Marine Corps as a Lieutenant Corporal, completing two tours in Vietnam. After his military service, he dedicated 38 years to the railroad as a freight conductor, retiring from Norfolk Southern. Denny also briefly played semi-pro football for the Hagerstown Bears and was a member of the American Legion post 222 for 42 years.

He is survived by his wife, Linda. 4 Daughters Denise, Amy, Angie, and Crystal. His stepchildren, Lorah, and Daniel. His grandkids Brandon, Kiersten, Ryan, Kayla, Kaitlyn, Sydney, Kameron, and Ian. His great grandkids, Darnell, Archer, Alaric, and Elijah. As well as his brother-in-law Keith and family and sister-in-law Kellie and family. Denny is preceded in death by his mother, Mildred and father, Charles.

Denny- a selfless, and kind man, a man of very few words except the most important ones. He was a loving and giving husband, a nice and encouraging father, and a loyal friend. He was a hard-shelled softy. Denny spent a lot of his free time bowling. He also really enjoyed playing pool, and shuffleboard.

A memorial service followed by a celebration of life will be held at the American Legion Post 222 in Clearspring, MD. The date is yet to be determined. Contributions can be made to the American Legion Post 222, PO Box 158.

Dennis "Denny" Domer will be remembered for his dedication to his country, his family, and his community. May he rest in peace.
