Dwayne Scott Way, 44, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away unexpectedly on October 20, 2023, at Meritus Medical Center, where he was surrounded by his loving family.
Born. June 8, 1979, he was the son of Kimberly S. (Way) Billmeyer.
In addition to his mother, Dwayne is survived by his stepfather, Scott Billmeyer, brother, Jeremy L. Way (Tanya), sons, Dylan S. Way (Beth) and Hendrix S. Way, daughter, Taylor N. Way, stepson, Zaelyn Gatrell, maternal grandmother, Audrey L. Way, uncle, Davis S. Way III, aunts, Ronda L. Way (Dave) and Tammy S. Rudy (Mark), and cousins, Zachary Black, Tyler Black, and Mark Rudy Jr.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Davis S. Way Jr., and great-grandparents, Calvin M. Shank and Edith M. Shank.
Dwayne was an Organ Donor.
His family will be receiving friends for an evening viewing on Monday, October 30, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 pm at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave, Smithsburg, MD, 21783.
