Dale Edward Jones

Dale Edward Jones, 77, of Boonsboro, MD, went to be with the Lord Monday, October 6, 2025 at his home surrounded by loving family.

Born on July 14, 1948 in Springfield, OH, he was the oldest of 3 sons of the late Arvella and Charles Jones. His family moved to Maryland and he graduated from Oldtown High School in Oldtown, MD.

He retired from Eastalco Aluminum Co. after 34 years as a Maintenance Mechanic, achieving journeyman status.

An avid collector, he filled the house with old telephones, radios, insulators and anything unique that caught his eye. He loved feeding the birds, deer and wild turkeys at his South Mountain home. His favorite deer, Daisy, ate from his hand and his racoon, Lucy, always got a daily treat.

Nothing made him happier than spending time with family, especially his Grandsons.

For 1 1/2 years, he fought a painful and courageous battle against sarcoma, a deadly form of cancer. He always tried to keep a positive attitude and never complained.

He will be forever loved and missed by his wife, Shannon, of 55 years; Sons, Matthew and wife, Caity; Adam and wife, Bridget; Grandsons, Zachery, Blake, Jack and Paul; Brothers, Steve Jones and Richard Jones; Sister in Laws, Gail Jones, Jeanne Jones, Carolyn McCartney and Lori Kendle; also, Kelly and Jason Gonzales; Nieces, Heather Hunt, Amy Walters and Julie Swain; Nephews, John Fager, III, Seth Jones, Charles Jones, Eli Kendall, Zeke Wolff and Jakob Hunt.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 2 PM at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, 12525 Bradbury Ave. Smithsburg, MD 21783. No need to dress up, Dale would want you to be comfortable.
