Daniel Allan Hurd

Daniel "Dan" Allan Hurd, 63, of Hagerstown, Md. went home on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at his home in Hagerstown, Md. Born on December 23, 1958, son of Roger G. Hurd, Sr., and Janice L. (Minnick) Knode. He was proceeded in death by his parents, and his wife Alice (Collins) Hurd. Daniel is survived by daughters Heather Tydings, Hagerstown, Md., Rachael Yeates, Hagerstown, Md., Shanna Collins, Mont Alto, Pa. and Dakota Sheffield, Ocala, Fl. sister DeeAnna Lyon, Gates, NC, brothers Roger (RG) & Sue Hurd, Greencastle, Pa., Victor & Gina Hurd, Falling Waters, Wv., and Keith & Angie Duff, Hagerstown, Md. 5 Grandsons, 4 granddaughters and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, and nephews. Daniel loved riding motorcycles with a passion and loved his wind therapy. Daniel survived a tragic accident in August 2015 thanks to his friends and riding brother Stan & wife Laura Reed. He served in the Army & Navy and enjoyed his travel with the military. He will be missed by all that knew him and heard his infectious laugh and beautiful blue eyes. Family will receive friends at JL Davis Funeral home, Smithsburg, Md. on Saturday January 8, 2022, from 6-8pm.
